Safety in the workplace
How safe do you work?
Naturally, the company where you work ensures a safe workplace and Direct Jobs provides the necessary information about the applicable safety instructions. But whether you work safely is largely up to you.
Points to watch out for
- Make sure you are well informed about the safety instructions and the safety risks. If something is not clear, ask.
- Be careful and careful: for your own safety, but also for that of your colleagues.
- Participate in the information or work instruction organized for you.
- Make sure you have and use the correct personal protective equipment.
- Make sure you use the tools correctly and handle hazardous substances in a safe manner.
- Make sure that you do not remove any protections or tinker with them yourself.
- Report it to your manager or to your contact person at Direct Jobs if you have no or insufficient personal protective equipment.
- Report it if you believe there are dangers to safety or health.
Safe flex work
As a flex worker, you have just as much right to a safe workplace as someone who is employed on a permanent basis. This is regulated by law. We think it is important that you work in a safe working environment. For example, safety risks have been identified at every company, so that everyone can prepare as well as possible.
Take the online Flextest
You can take a test to gain insight into how safely you work. The test gives tips on what you can do about this yourself.
Do the test and stay alert! Often a picture says more than words. With the posters “Look at working safely” you can quickly go through a number of risks at work in different sectors. Each poster has two sides: one side with the situations and a version with the situations and safety instructions.
